good stories and interesting to know more about him, company, history, biz, etc. He's been at it a real long time. Wonder how many bikes they sell per year?

Thanks for the link, good video series.
One Big S product I went out of my way to have on my bike was the star stem top cap. I needed one in my life, I stripped it and repainted it to match my boik. However it was later replaced by a Thomson cap.

I did a quick scan around the garage this morning and I couldn't find a single Specialized product lying around...that seems odd, or is it?

Considering what I seen here when Spec-Ed has sued/tried to protect their copy written and registered brands, etc, I'm surprised this has been so civil, so far.
No fan of spec-Ed, just observing.

He acknowledged some screw ups in patent protection. And also mentioned the challenge of dealing with counterfeit stuff. One thing if your name is on a counterfeit designer purse, another if it is on a liability machine.

To clarify....my post was more to express "shock and awe" that I managed to fly under the company's radar up till this point, even though I have been "buying and selling bike-related stuff" like crazy for the last 15+ years or so.

I own 2 Specialized bikes and one pump. Specialized products are great. Mike Sinyard can be rather "colorful" at times.

It is funny how they seem to have their name on everything component of a bike. Ok I have to think about what they don't make.

Damn!
Ok...hmmmm......how 'bout....
EPO.
Surely, they played no part in the increasing average speed of the peloton other than their revolutionary wind-cheating, gravity-defying, speed demon, super-aerobike the "Venge"...
