Due to the long tapered shape of the rails I could never get their leather ones far enough forward to work for me even on a Thompson zero setback seat post.

I wonder if they solve that with the carbon version?

I am not sure but the rail design is a 吐eature of the leather saddles and why i love them. Opposite a brooks that I cannot use.

I've see a prototype and I am not sure. I fear that the edges will be problematic due to how thin and hard they are.

We shall see, I guess.

You must be a set-back fan. I'll bet you have longer femurs. I'm just the opposite. My femurs are short. I can get a Brooks or Rivet to the right position (comfortable is another issue however...). I use Cobb saddles most of the time. Aesthetic they are not, but for me they are comfortable...

Yep you got it

I also took our local forum member TiDesigns to heart on his fitting and that put me further back. Really, I now prefer a bike with a 72 degree STA to make it all work.

When did you last try one? They had a version with long rails, then went to shorter rails, and then back to long rails. bobswire posted a very helpful picture and note about them in another thread (http://forums.thepaceline.net/showthread.php?t=159227&highlight=selle+anatomica&page=2) showing the difference. The two on the left have the shorter rails and the one on the right has the long rails.

The saddle I purchased had the shorter rails and I was riding with it pushed all the way forward. I contacted them after hearing that they were going back to the longer rails and they offered to swap mine out for the 2015 model, which worked perfectly for me.

Last time I tried was early this year. It was closer than the first one I tried but still no luck. On the Radavist coverage of Interbike there was a picture of a new rail that might be better but it is hard to tell...

I saw them being prepped for Interbike at JB's. Was not something that screamed out to me "put your ass on this now!" but it might work for you. Contact points are personal. Supposedly, the initial backers have them now, production in January: http://selleanatomica.com/pages/crowdfund

Safety testing next week guys. Production will start at the end of the year and we'll ship as they come off the line. If you were a late backer, it'll be January.
