I was riding Specialized Fatboys on my hardtail Ti SS, but destroyed one while trying to remove it. Apparently they had been in my garage too long after being in someone else's garage.

Because this is a single speed for street, paths and light trails, weight is a concern and I'd like to stay at 1.25 or maybe a light 1.50. I was looking at the 26 x 1.1 Gatorskins, but they seem to have more of a road profile and I'd like a little more girth.

There doesn't appear to be a lot of selection for 26 x 1.25. What about the Panaracer T-Serve or RibMo?

Others I should consider?

Thanks!

You might look at the Schwalbe Kojaks (which are 1.4) or the Ritchey Tom Slicks.

FWIW, I was thinking in that direction--a narrow, fast slick to make a hardtail mountain bike road worthy.

I ended up going in a completely different direction--a pair of foldable Schwalbe Super Motos which are 26 x 2.3 inches wide.
I just installed them yesterday on my old Alpinestars MTB and they roll surprisingly fast on the road while providing an abundant degree of "air suspension."
Very cool tires.

I'm interested in some as my Avocet City tires are a bit old.

Anyone have any experience with the Michelin Wild RunR 1.4? $17 at BTD, looks good to me..

I hated 26x1.25 tires on my rigid mtn. bike because they gave up so much comfort relative to 26x1.75s or 2". OTOH they rolled great on my FS mtn. bike and the suspension handled the bumps.

Performance Bike Shops sell some 26x1.25 and 1.5 for $13 or so that are pretty good.

Look into Continental Travel Contacts. Bulletproof and I LOVE these things.
