About one hour ago I received a call from my LBS that my Meivici had arrived. As any of us would do, I rushed over to check it out. All I can say is that Serotta is truly a first class bike maker. This frame is pure bike porn at it's best. Serotta's paint workmanship is first class. The frame measurements were spot on and the botton bracket shell as been reshaped from the prototypes and has the smooth lines like my Kirk fillet brazed bottom bracket. The frame weighed in at 1150 grams which is fairly light and should have excellent durability. Overall I couldn't be more pleased. It will be built tomorrow and the first test ride will be on Thursday.

And you didn't take any pictures?

If I remember right, you're a Sundance customer? Those guys are great to work with. Enjoy your new bike!

Please be sure to post lots of pictures. While I got to see one in person before, you never see too many nice bikes :)

BCM,

I rushed over but I didn't have my camera with me. I just called Sundance and they will take some pictures and post them today. Man those painted Ti decals along with the candy apple red paint is a great combo.

if only your local riding were better...

Congrats! I can't think of a better place to test her out. Enjoy.

Kevan,

I'll be riding over to Pacific Coast Highway then up Encinal canyon which is the same climb you did when you were out here. I will also be taking it down the rock store to see how it handles. You guys in the northeast need to come out here to socal for some riding. I have two extra rooms abd the weather is just about perfect.

Why stop in LA? How about going just a little bit further west. :) :)

Hmmm...I don't see any couplers on that frame...is it hard to fold up into that box?

and the real question of the day...does the frame match the car?

Just kidding Jack.

Well, it was either that or a picture of a shirtless Sandy. I think we all know the answer....besides, Sandy don't surf!
