In a big day of racing at the Giro today, I thought that it would be helpful to point out that Roberto Laiseka consolidated his 17th place on GC@4:57. The team stands a snowball's chance in the lower regions of obtaining a podium position, but they sent a young team along with the old veteran with the goal of trying to make a top 10 finish.....and to grab a stage victory if the opportunity presents itself. The podium spots are most interesting to some, but I will be watching Roberto's progress and pulling for his top 10 finish.
