New SPD XT reviews?

Kinda surprised I haven't seen any threads on the PD-M8000s yet. Anyone using them? $64 online makes them mighty tempting.

I'm pretty sure they work exactly the same as every other generation of XT/XTR pedal over the past 10 years or so, which is to say, great. If you need a set of pedals, these are a no brainer.

Thanks. I have the M250s and they're pretty great. I think I'd appreciate the smoother mechanism of the XT level, so I'm considering an upgrade. I've heard the M780 wasn't an improvement on the M770, for example (but I'm not sure why), so I'd like to make sure I shouldn't go with something more tried and true.

M780's are phenomenal. The new 8000's are even more refined.

Can't go wrong with either.

Thanks. I should've mentioned that the intended application is 'cross in Oregon, but I'll go with them unless that info prompts any nays from the bunch.

Got a pair a couple f weeks ago. Really nice, as expected. No reason to hesitate.
