Stripped hidden 5th bolt on Campy Record Al crank

Stripped the hidden 5th bolt on a 10spd record Al crank that goes into the back of the crank arm, has anyone had success with a fix? Possibly tap and use a different bolt? Retire for wall art?

You stripped the threaded insert on the crank itself?

If so find a machine shop that can install a helicoil. Pretty routine repair. There are single size helicoil kits that would allow you to do it yourself.

No compact aluminum Record cranks made... the highest level group that featured an aluminum compact was Centaur/Athena.
