Finally had a break in the heat, and I've been waiting a few weeks now to brew.

Mashing now, 10 gals of Citra pale ale:

Been a while since I brewed any, and I just used extract. I found it a little easier to justify the time involved before the proliferation of craft breweries around the country. Now there's not time to try everything that's available - but I keep trying.

Haven't brewed since I went back to school, but I was really into brewing "quick sour" beers like an all brett berliner weisse (sour the wort with some grain, then boil again, ferment with brett and hop lightly). I used mash-in-a-bag right in my 9 gallon brew kettle. Also did no-chill right into a stainless conical fermenter. This was about as low maintenance for all grain as it got.

I'm a "teabagger" and all grain only guy. Mainly pale ales, and mostly just a variation on an old family recipe.

This is my first Citra batch. I've used it for dry hopping before, but not in the wort.

I know it takes a long time, but I like the effort involved and the time to bottle ferment.

As long as it tastes good, no matter the method.

Looks like a great brew in the works.
Back when my bible was Charlie Papazian's book "Joy of home brewing" I followed his recipe for oatmeal stout, I still think of it as one of the best ales I've ever had.
Here in Thailand I've tried brewing mead with mixed results.

Oh my that's a nice setup.

For me it is a link to my ancestors who brewed their way through he depression and prohibition. I'm not a huge drinker, but I find extreme sarisfaction drinking something I brewed, and even more when I get to share it with friends.

I doubt i will progress on to a counter flow chiller, or a pumped setup like that, or even kegging....but who knows.

Would love to get together and share a brew some day.

Brewed my first all-grain batch a couple months back after doing several extract brews, came out great... my efficiency was bad, but I'm fairly sure I understand why. Planning a brew for this coming weekend, can't wait!

i use beersmith. its great great software. i got it on sale when he first released a linux version, and i see that it goes on sale from time to time. highly recommended for all grain brewing.

I run a 29 gallon system in Beijing. Electric RIMS with a jacketed conical. Getting supplies has become much easier since when I started back in 2012.
