Oh C'mon Hydrate and get out there! Our forecast looks similar in the summer, but the nights don't cool off much. I would love to see a morning in the sixties.

I can live with some heat. The problem for me is its now dark at 7:15 pm, and if I can't get on my bike 'til after. 6:00pm on most nights, it's not worth riding outside. At least I can catch up on Netflix though!

That's everyday in my neck of the woods except that we get down to a chilly 80 degrees at night. I've gotten heat exhaustion twice in the last few weeks. October can't come fast enough.

Get some lights and ride at night or in the early morning.

Hot in north Texas too. You do get used to it, so on the one hand just keep working at it. If you just don't want to ride the heat, do as someone else recommended here and get some lights. If it's ridiculous during the day, I'll go out on a lake loop after dark with lots of high output lights. I do the same loop so I know every bump or pothole and there isn't much traffic on it. It's not the most exciting, but at night it's a hard workout and much better than sitting on a trainer.

It's a dry heat, though, isn't it?

yeah, yeah, I know. It's always hot as hell in AZ, TX, et al.
that's why I don't friggin live there!

80 deg is PLENTY hot (yes hot) for this northern European boy from Wisconsin.
I'd be happy if it never got above 70...

Can't ride in the morning. I leave for work at 5:45. I'd have to get up at 1:00 if I wanted to ride - and that just ain't gonna happen.

Where are you getting that forecast? I was shocked to see temps in SF that high, but when I checked weather.com it says the highs for the next few days are in the mid to high 80's, and then cooling off to the 70's by the weekend into next week.

used to be more in line with you on this one, but working as a messenger, give me heat all day every day. all day every day. as long as i don't have to worry about keeping warm, i'm happy. permanently losing feeling in various body parts is so deeply not fun.

^^^ ugh, yeah. I remember having to thaw my hands under COLD tap water (which felt burning hot) after doing my paper route in the winter. Also remember having my ice form on my eyelashes. That suuuuucks.

That's from The National Weather Service. I'm actually pretty far from SF. The "Bay Area" is very large - like 120mi north to south - with many climate zones.

I'm good between about 25 and 80 deg. Beyond those limits and I'm not happy. Heat really messes me up physically. I'm just not made for it.
