In the old days, when wheels were square and I'd shave with a flint stone, one way to check if you had the right stem, top tube, and the horizontal position generally speaking, was to see if the handlebar would cover the front hub. That is, when sitting on the saddle with your hands on the bars, you would see if the bars would cover the front hub so you couldn't see it, or if the front hub could be seen behind or in front of the bars. If the hub was covered, you were spot on, iirc.

Is this type of sorcery still common currency? Hey, thank you for taking the time to respond, atmo.

A coincidence at best. There is a relationship between the FC and the
location of your center of gravity, but the 'hub blocking' example is way too
simplistic.

I just get a boing! sound when pressing to access the attachment. I'd love to be able to read it, though, atmo. About simplistic, well, you know, you're right, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar, iirc.
