I love MY Aeropress. I watched the video while enjoying another great cup in Alaska, just before heading out to fish for silver salmon. My Aeropress always comes with me when I travel. It's a bonus that the inventor appears to be such a genuinely nice guy.

Took me long enough, but I actually just bought one 2 weeks ago. I was spending $3-$5/cup and thought to myself, "···". It's been really, really good so far. I buy some beans, use a hand grinder, and have a nice dark every morning. It seems as it's already paid itself back!

I nuke a pyrex measuring cup with about 12 oz for 4 min in the microwave...just below boiling point, but have never checked the temp.

Thanks for the link!

As much as I like our Aeropress, I'm more impressed with his invention of the Aerobie Pro Flying Ring. I've had a couple of them over the years and have never given a thought about their origins. It's interesting that one holds the record for an object thrown the furthest by human hands (1333 ft - almost a 1/4 mile!). Cool stuff!

About temp, I have an electric with various set points. I also have played with temp and time for different roasts. My usual rotation of coffee has preferred temps at 175, 190, and 200. I've used it for four years and logged way too much data in the beginning.
