Selle Italia SLX

I have used for years only Selle Italia SLX saddles; the ones with a crack all the way to the back. They no longer make them. I wrote Selle Italia asking them to recommend a replacement, to no avail. Any suggestions. Thank you.

I bet they come up on eBay from time to time. Or maybe place a wtb in the classifieds here after you have the requisite amount of posts.

I bought 3 SLK's when I had the chance. I also learned, long ago, to protect the saddle with a waterproof saddle cover. As the covers wear, I replace them. Saddles stay like new. If I had to choose a replacement now, I might look at the C2. The width is 'mayyyyyybe' a lil wide for me at 135, but it might work. Here's a link to a UK source.

Edit: also might look at the SLR Vanox. Width 131. Link below, too.

Hah, I went through this exact same thing with the SLK (if that's the one you mean since it goes all the way back). Hoarded what I could, but they only last a season or 2. So I had to find something new. Tried a ton of them including the C2 Gel Flow linked above, but nada until I found the SLR Max which is the same shape as the SLR team that's also linked above by regularguy. Feel like Goldilox.

You must be looking at the Tekno Flow. That's one expensive saddle and not really a comparison with the SLK. I'd say that the Max, Team and certainly the Superflow are all nicer saddles than the SLK.
