what size is it? Please say 57 or 58....maybe a 56 if doof jacked some quill up...

1) all Giordanas were prototyped by Dario

2) all TIG Giordanas were built in his shop

3) a small number of lugged ones were built in his shop (the rest were made by billato)

so...its possible...e-mail the serial number to Gita and see if they have any history on that frame

that's the base line Giordana...a good frame, but not OS tubes...get it for 400.00 and you have a great deal on a nice frame.

bro I don't have to tell you that bike will ride great with it's fork ....to get the most out a steel frame you need it's fork ...i.m.h.o. I want one too if it's a 57

that shop is called enselle, kinda neaty wowy one guy operation.
the other day he told a customer that we did some work on that
the reason here beautiful CSI wasn't working was because we used
shimano housing on her crampy parts. All I could do was give her
the money back on the repair. She wouldn't do a shifter rebuild.

Thankfully I had the last laugh. It was QBP housing anyway :D :D

Jack is a good guy, a little quirky for sure but that is part of his charm. I've seen him send off folks who came in for repair work on junky road bikes or mtn bikes. His thing is high end road and track stuff.

He has carried merckx (I bought my majestic and coy's corsa from him) and pegoretti, he has had a bunch of custom landsharks made for clients, and now he has some ridleys hanging around. He is also a very good and meticulous wheelbuilder, and one of the few people I would trust to build me a wheel if I didn't feel like building it myself.

He also is a big supporter of local track racing and he volunteers a lot of time at alpenrose. One time, I arrived late and threw my bike and racing wheels at him and he happily installed and pumped them up without any comment.

I think anybody looking for a good roadbike experience in portland ought to go see Jack.

He is super swell and friendly most of the time. A coulple of times I think I said the wrong thing or something, and he seemed a bit gruff. I just bought some fun stuff there yesterday for my dad though so I certainly don't hold it against him.
That Giordana frame is beautiful and for the price I would most certainly have bought it, were it my size.

I recently had the pleasure of completing my own Giordana build - a '92 Spica. Thanks to all those here who helped contribute - I must say I couldn't be happier with the results. Well, that is until the Brooks saddle comes in...

Ride is smooth as can be and compared to my last steelie - a '98 Maillot Jaune - seems to make me a lot happier. Good fit will do that....

Hear, hear! That is one killer ride. What makes this thread even better is that Steve P or other infidels aren't writing in to say how much better their plastic powder bikes are! Really though, you did a magnificent job. All killer, no filler.
