since i've had the ottrott back out this spring...
...i've extended my route by about 5 miles
on my noon ride...
and instead of the 3 mile commute
i take it nice and easy but more like 6-8 miles
before arriving at the office.
as a consequence
i've had to start eating like crazy to keep my weight stable...
and keep from being ravenously hungry.
...so much so...
that one of my friends has threatened to not have me over again
or i'll eat him and his wife out of house and home...
...i think i'll go have another piece of pie!

Back away from the pie ;)

How about you keep a jug of recoverite nearby and make that your post workout routine? Takes the edge off and promotes great recovery.

Hurrah! I'm not the only one stuffing my face at every opportunity and shocking little old ladies in diners by ordering two meals just for me. I'm ravenous continously, and no amount of food seems to sate my appetite.

Is there some trick to this that I'm missing? Should I have changed my regular diet of pasta and pizzas towards more wheat based bulky stuff to stop the cravings? As said before, I'm a slip of a man, 6ft2, 11st... yet I'm drifting down in weight and am stuffing myself just to stop it, feel full and maintain current weight.

It's rather amusing skipping all of the low-fat this, low-sugar that stuff in the supermarket and just buy big family packets of everything for this bachelor to consume :)

Things have been busy at work, so now all I have been able to do is an 80mi ride on Sat & 40 on Sun. If I am lucky I hit the rollers once or twice mid-week.

Nevertheless, I start eating like a starved dog on Saturday night and don't slow down until around Wednesday...

When I was riding more frequently I had to drink "Insure" or "Slimfast" just to keep my weight up. I imagine it would be a great way to loose weight, but I don't thing I would have the willpower not to eat.

We haven't given you the ultimatum yet.
However, we were thinking
next time we go out for supper
we should hit the all-you-can-eat buffet!!!

I think you'd get our money's worth...

Missed you on the ride last night.
