I'm harder on wheels than I thought if I can actually trash a Nemesis on something other than real cobbles. After coming back from today's ride I noticed a wobble in the rear, and when I went to true it found this crack. My guess is that I over-tensioned the DS spokes moving the rim to the right a bit while building a couple of seasons ago.
I bet the tension stress accumulated over time (I noticed a couple of other cracks around DS spoke eyelets when I did a close inspection) coupled with some really good hits on the rim (the only road going in/out of our neighborhood feels like P-R as they're in the middle of tearing it out to repave) and a slightly under-inflated rear (seeing how low a PSI I could run on a Pave 27) led to the failure...
So, I'm in the market for single Nemesis 32. Anyone holding?
