I'm confused. I typically run clinchers and non-Tufo tubulars between 100 - 110 psi. However, Tufo insists their tires are made for much higher pressures because of the unique construction method. Is there any truth to this or should I run them at the same pressure as my other tires?

I always run 120 with no problems. 110 in the rain. I thought I'd be a wise-a$$ once and tried 140. Got a flat in the first mile. I went back to 120.

I use 8 bars 110-115 whatever it is on my Tufo tubulars without a problem...

I know there are lots of Tufos users out there. What do you think???

I normally pump my Tufo's to 120psi. May have gone higher a few times. But we generally pump all our road single tires to 120psi.

Tufo's can handle higher pressure and will roll better but will ride harder. So, all I can recommend is pump them up to what you like.

I have Tufo Tubulars. The model I originally bought could take up to 220. I decided to try that out for curiosity and I'll do anything to keep up with that old lady using the walker. :p

I was on a large organized ride. I got boxed in by the type of riders we all know and love. I cleaned the tire with my hand and there shouldn't have been any glass to work into them... :crap:

You have not heard an explosion or seen such shattered remains of a tire until you see one that goes at 220 psi. :D About 30 minutes later I was on a quiet glass free back farm road when it went and wow did it ever go. :help:

I now run about 130 to 140 which is what I have in my Tri-Comps.
