Flakey handlebars

There appears to be carbon powder/flakes coming from the inside of my Ergonova handlebars, purchased about a year ago.

Is this normal? Structurally they seem sound - no crashes or hard knocks, just normal wear and tear.

At one of the most reputable shops in my hometown in Canada. Unfortunately I don't live there any more so can't easily take it in fo warranty claims, just want to know if anyone has experienced anything similar and whether I should be coconcerned?
