#crossis... almost here. Who else is racing in New England this fall? Who are you, what bike will you be on, who (if anyone) do you race with, what category, etc.? I'll start:

I'm Sandy. I'm a very tall, not very good Cat 4 racing for Ashton-Greycork Cycling and will look like this:

https://scontent-lga1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpt1/v/t1.0-9/11800009_10205095306887025_7633164974102720747_n.j pg?oh=e7f4822a151864bbab2cb0b387e32412&oe=5682B793

But on this bike:

So far I know I'll be at both days of CompEdge, Silk City, Quad, and Night Weasels.

I don't race cross only road but I am an official and do lots of cross races. Assignments are just coming out now but so far I will be doing Riverfront, Night Weasels, Pumpkin, and Putney Hill. If you do any of them please say hi.

We just moved up here and I was looking forward to doing so CX races this fall but I think I'm sitting this season out. However, my wife wants to jump back in since she was pregnant last season and didn't get to race.

What races/training races should she hit up this fall?

We live in Salem right but we just put a contract on a house on Nahant, hopefully closing in late October.

I teach in Salem so you guys are local

I would recommend the following cross races as fun experience:

Quad Cross
Midnight Ride
Night Weasels
Suckerbrook
Orchard Cross
Minuteman
Ice Weasels

Gloucester and/or Providence if you want the big event experience

There are others to be sure but Orchard is an absolutely don't miss event

As for me, I am not going to race this year - too many issues so in no shape at all

Will probably spectate a few

The beauty of CX in NE is that you kinda can't miss...almost every weekend has a race worth doing.

Cat 3, Single-speed for me.

It's been a few years since I've had a consistent season. I'm hoping this is the one. I'm planning on focusing on the Zanconato Single Speed Series.

I ride for Zanconato racing. I'll be on a black Zank in a blue kit, like this (hopefully with less of a belly this year...)

Thanks for the list! If you see a bearded guy holding a baby heckling a woman on a Moots that will be me.

Sounds like fun. Sometimes I have thoughts of putting knobby 30mm tires on my Lemond zurich and giving it a whirl.

I don't have the money right now to throw down for a new bike... so until then, I probably won't be taking up cross.

What size bike do you ride, Matt?

I am pretty sure I have one (size 53ish) you could borrow for a "try out", even if it's just an "adventure ride" to see what the bikes are all about.

I'll be at most of the CT races (Blunt and Forest Park this weekend actually) and some of the bigger races in MA and RI. Silk City and Cheshire are probably my favorites.

Been working hard this past year so hoping for some good CAT 4 finishes.

Here's the new rig - can't wait to race it!

See you guys at Quad! Its actually one I haven't done yet.

I'm Sean, just upgraded to Cat 3 after a good season last year. I'm racing on a lime green (ugh) trek boone after breaking my aluminum model about a month ago (solid warranty from trek).

I race for rebar, which is basically just a friend and I screwing around with some graphic design and photography that might eventually lead to a small publication. Hopefully at some point during the season we'll get legit jerseys.
