After reading David McCullough's superb history of the Wright Brothers I wanted to also learn more about Tesla. I read Seifer's book, which is unsatisfying because he doesn't have the tech savvy to help the reader distinguish between Tesla's true contributions and other inventions that may have been vaporware.
Any suggestions on a good book about Tesla?

Sean Patrick wrote a book about Tesla that is free on Kindle. I have it on my Kindle, but it is a ways down my list of books.
Tesla also wrote his own book, called "My Inventions."

Thanks very much, that looks like just the ticket - author is a technically versed historian

Another character you might find interesting is Wilhelm Reich. There is a Wilhelm Reich museum up in Rangeley Maine.
