Official Post ride beverage of the Rhode Island Ramble!! Now you can chug your favorite breakfast cereal (sort of)!

It had to happen. For years, the Wheaties slogan "breakfast of champions" has been invoked by beer lovers who pop open an adult beverage before noon. Now the cereal company is putting its name and logo on a beer.

That beer is called HefeWheaties, the result of a collaboration between two Minneapolis companies: cereal-maker General Mills and brewer Fulton Beer. As the name implies, the beer is a hefeweizen, the German style that relies on wheat for its base....

EXCELLENT

But for real brand recognition (for us old farts) they need to put an athlete on that can.
I nominate William for the first manufacturing run!

hmmmm. Surprised this doesn't run afoul of some regulations around marketing beer to children.

What's next, "Lucky Charms Beer"?

My wife and I went to Oktoberfest in Munich a couple years back. There we learned of the Bavarian Breakfast. It included a pretzel, some white sausages, some dipping mustard, and a beer. Best thing on the breakfast menu.

I wonder if I'm the only one who threw up in my mouth just a little when they saw this?

What's the hubub, bub?

My work sched means I can only ride at oh-dark thirty; and the only post-ride beverage I'm interested in is a chilly oatmeal stout. So I do one, then the other, then race to work. Life is good.
