For my riding to the park, getting groceries ,riding with the kids etc.
I might even put studs on it and ride it in the winter.

Which one do you like? Both would be about $75 give or take.

The Peugeot already has a rack, and well, it's a Peugeot. Unless you don't dig the color, I would go for that one.

funny, about four years ago i bought a raleigh hybrid in fantastic shape with a rusted chain for $60 and then put a kickstand on it for $15. for $75 i have a wonderful like that i have ridden the hell out of for the past four years to get groceries, visit grands and just casual bike rides. i love it. probably truth be told of all the bikes i have owned over the past 50 years this is the only one that doesn't owe be anything. there are a lot of these type of bikes around on craiglist. go for it!

The Peugeot is lugged and has more shiny parts.

Peugeot. One of my neighbors has the same bike with a grocery rack on it. Always wanted to take it for a spin.

There is a big difference between $140 ask price and your proposed $75 purchase. Has the seller agreed to $75? What components are on the Peugeot? Are there weird, hard-to-find French components on it like the bottom bracket? Since the tubing is Ishiwata amybe it was made in Japan with Japanese components? Already having a rack saves you $35 or so right away. I think I like it better. It has eyelets for fenders too.

Yeah we are at 100 on the Peugeot and 80 on the Univega and I have not started to barter :)

It sounds like the Peugeot is the way to go. I like it better too :hello:

Peugeot without a doubt. If you don't want it, please facilitate it for me!

I had a Univega bitd. The steel had so much flex it was somewhat comical.
