Wow - I did not see this one coming:

Not sure he will have enough time to recuperate and peak again, but it will make things interesting.

It's usually on Universal Sports, which is owned by NBC now, I think.

Wasn't it on BEIN Sport last year? I can't remember.

I haven't looked at the route at all. Is this a course that favors anyone?

With Quintana, Valverde, Van Garderen, Purito and Nibali... looks to be a good race.

They're doing all new climbs and routes this year, so it's a bit tough to gauge.

Curious what Froome's motivation is to do this one.

Too bad Horner's not in the mix.

My guess is that he is trying to avoid various chores that are stacking up on the home front. I would do anything to avoid cleaning the gutters, myself.

Especially when to do that job you just stare at the top step of the ladder while reaching into the gutter.

I'd say it's because he didn't get enough of a tan during the tour.

That and he'd really look like a stud for winning another GT this year (rubs AC's face into his failed double bid).

Yes, I'm sure he'd love to show Contador that a GT TdF double is possible in the same year on Contador's home turf. Also, he's come in second twice - once because he had to hold back to help Wiggins.
