Great video about a man who followed his passion and built his dream (having the means helps).

So much hand-crafted effort and raw beauty in that car......and that sound. I can't give it enough dancing bananas!

Petrolicious makes incredible videos too btw.

Wow! That's incredible!

The whole gestalt of it reminds me of race planes from the 30s like the Hughes H1...

While on a completely different level, financially and complexity, this should resonate with so many of us who have gone after "period builds" and those constantly searching for that one part.....

If you like the sound of that motor, check out their video on the Ferrari P4....another iconic car.

Ah no way! That is part of what makes it so cool! I feel painting it [red] would be too 'flying too close to the sun' in terms of making it too much like a real one. The "works" look of this one, and its intended use of a driver, is so appropriate.

Most of the time red is OK, but if you ever take it to a car show with a bunch of other cars of the same brand, then it's just another red Ferrari, one of about 20 others, and there's no fun in that.

I had the same issue with my red Alfa Spider years ago. Driving it around town was a blast, but whenever I took it to a St Louis club meeting or worse yet, when the national Alfa convention was in St Louis in '92 there were loads of other red Alfas. Boring.
