I went to summer camp with Allison Krause's cousins in the early 70s. It was a weird thing for a 13 year old to confront. I barely understood it at the time...

There's some nice memorials (http://speccoll.library.kent.edu/4may70/exhibit/memorials/index.html) on campus. My father-in-law taught there in the '90s, and it was hard to walk across the campus without the images of that day superimposing themselves on the landscape.

as we get older time seems to go by faster and faster!

I was riding a Gitane. In cutoff jeans and a t-shirt and sneakers. A century was daunting. We scarfed down salt tablets and jammed mushy bananas in handlebar bags. We rambled. Good times. Only two of us from our group back then still rides today. We still ramble. Sometimes even wear cutoff jeans and t-shirts.
