Today my girlfriend told me there was another bike next to the dumpster. I thought little of this untill I was coming home and saw a crazy time trial trial bike with a rear disc wheel leaning next to our dumpster. wow I thought, and ran out to grab it.
It is a severly sloping Curtlo steel frame witha Faggin chromed fork. It's crazy 80's style for sure. The back wheel is an Araya disc while the front is a 650 campy tubular. Both were flat, but held air when pumped. It had some nice nitto bull horns and a mix of shimano 7 speed parts incluging a messed up rear derailleur. The chain was dropped.. It neads a little help but I think it will fit me and I could TT on it...How crazy.
I know the name Curtlo but I know nothing of them. Should I sell it? It has some nicks and a little rust...
I bet some dudes girlfriend made him ditch it when they moved out.. how sad. Must have been a tri geeks bike. Oh happy day for me!

It looks to me that it was in storage. It can not be ridden. The rear pullys are gone and it can not be pedaled. The tires were flat too. This dumpster is always full of cool stuff that people leave when they move out...

Happy Day Johnny Boy!

Congratulations on your dumpster find. Doesn't seem like anyone rides cool bikes around here, let alone dumps them.

there is a dumpster nearby that would be perfect for throwing away cool bikes

PM me if interested

A guy that my wife works with found a Schwinn SS Tourer--1970 bike one model under the touring Paramount--in our county landfill. It only needed for me to rebuild the rear wheel to be a running bike, and he has a very nice commuter; 3lb. kickstand, B-17, TA 5Vis cranks, and all!

Shino--It can't be your size, can it? It's got to be my size. I'll take it off your hands. You can't ride it without drlr pulleys. ;)

Cool, you should set it up. I hate TT's over 1km anyway.

man I was happy with the lugged Giant with full 105 (6 speed) that my wife spotted (and pulled) recently but this sounds way better. Does the Araya disc have the adjustable weights in it?

Any other cool dumpster finds?
