Been almost a year since the last time I did this. I think this time around our builder of fine frames up in Montana won’t be able to identify the car quite so fast. Then again, his knowledge of cool cars seems to be as good as his frames.

Anyway, here’s the first shot, obviously just a wee bit of the original photo. In a few days or maybe less after no one has arrived at recognizing the car, I’ll post another wee bit of it.

This was shot yesterday during my ride up Col de l’Iseran

There is a 250 GT Ferrari Spyder California that is stored near my house. Once on a mountain road over looking the pacific the owner drove it past me while I was on my bike. The sound of the v-12 was stunning.

Hmm? It's on Michelin X vintage tires so that tells me it's 60's vintage and the large fender flares speak to it being a limited edition or special. I really don't know but I'm guessing British Ford.

I look forward to seeing the full shot and knowing what it is.

Mini Mook.

Seriously, the rib is throwing me. I was thinking 1950's Italian sports car, but I can't think of one with a rib that pronounced.

A flared Ford Capri? I would hope that it would be cooler than that, but....

My good friend had a 330 in the 70's, that car made the most beautiful sound I have ever heard. The V12 is awesome.

They do sound wonderful. There is a guy north of me that has a silver one. In the back is a baby seat. What a stud...

Those flares look welded on, not rolled. Very few production cars would have something like that from the factory.

Here's a MK1 Escort with flares and a rib.

The mystery car has bigger flares, and a lot of wheel gap . . .

It also kind of reminds me of a 68 Mustang fender except that rib is just not quite right

And that's why I was so careful about the crop, no wheel showing, just a wee tease, your eye for details is to be admired and avoided

Okay, 2nd teaser

I think texbike got it.
I was thinking Lancia, too, (also Alfa GTV etc) but I thought that crease seemed wider in the first pic.

Apologies for posting huge pics. How do I get them down to a more reasonable size?

I was thinking that, but 2002's have the side marker higher up on the fender . . .

That's beautiful! A Fulvia has been on my list for years. I've been close to buying one a couple of times but haven't pulled the trigger. I love their rally history.

That was fun, that hard body line really looks different in the second group of photos. Fulvia's are very cool. My friend had a 77 scorpion that was pretty unique in the day. Thanks for the game, it was fun. Way to put all the clues together Texbike.
