I have a NOS Time Pilot that came with a Time Speeder frame I bought a few years back. The speeder is gone but I still have this beautiful fork just sitting round. So I am thinking about buying a Gunnar Roadie am I am wondering if someone makes a lower headset cup and bearing that can accommodate the forks lower 1 1/4 in bearing. I do not know the exact dimensions on the fork crown but will try to measure it I an get the right cup. The roadie has a straight head tube. I can have the threaded ring on the for removed by a machinist I know, he will chuck into a lather and ever so carefully turn it off. Thanks for the help

Unless its a 44mm headtube, I think you're out of luck.

Agree..can go the other way, 44mm headtube and a non tapered fork but don't think there are any headsets that accomodate a tapered fork in a 'standard' 1 1/8 headtube. Not enough room.

If you had a lathe, you could turn a custom cup...
