Seeing stuff like this is really disturbing...how can a person do to this to another that they don't know  I've had my share of similar drivers and have been clipped, run off the road, objects thrown at me, hit in the back by a passenger, had oncoming cars drive at me. Just last week, my daughter and I had a diesel truck spew soot on us :crap:

I hope these guys recover from their injuries...

It's really too bad the perp is not among this life, suffering horribly along the way.

So many things get my blood in a boil - that news cast - all about a hit and run and here is what the idiot reporting ends with "What we don't know, was the hit and run intentional or . . . . was it . . . an accident."

If you hit someone with your car and then speed off - there is no single part of that engagement which deserves the word 'accident.'

The 2 riders who really got the worst of it and were airlifted are 17 years old. Sad.

Because the thief was driving a stolen car, doesn't hitting a cyclist
automatically turn into felony assault since you injured someone while committing another crime?

I just saw the video. Words cannot express my sense of outrage. As cyclists, especially road cyclists, we all put our lives at risk every time we go out. Fortunately, most drivers respect our right to be on the road. The few that don't cause hell for those of us who happen to cross their path. The right place, the wrong time...I'm mindful of that every time I go out.

While attempted murder is the worst of his crimes, there is most likely something else going on here. He was in the midst of a crime spree and acted as though he had nothing more to risk. It'll be interesting to see what else he was into.

My sympathy for the injured cyclists and their families.

On the plus side, the news article made no mention of the irrelevant details such as whether or not the cyclists were wearing helmets or riding in the lane.

This incident is way out of the sphere of what instigates in most vehicle/bike crashes on the road. Stolen car, opportunistict hit and runs, barefoot and take down, punching at a police dog.
This isn't road rage or someone who just hates cyclist, this guy has many other issues going on.
For me, the sad part is that the perp will most likely have no insurance and those victums will have a hard time getting any restitution from the guy.
