I have one and its is pretty stellar.
Like you, I had my last silca for a couple decades so I decided to spring for the mac daddy. My only real complaint is that the pump doesnt come with the hiro head as standard.

they usually mail out a postcard and/or send email if you're on distro

but i'm surprised that the discount works on something like the silca...there are usually a lot of restrictions

I actually put the Silca pump in during the Giro and used that promo code and it worked. I didn't pull the trigger though.

If you have never seen one, I can tell you this pump oozes quality just looking at it and to me it feels so nice while actually pumping. Is it the wood handle? the pump mechanics? no idea. but when you try it you want one.
