Doesn't really show exactly how the bike is cradled on the rack, but...

Their website has a little better shot of how it is held on. http://trunkmonkey.co/home

Clever approach. I'm a little curious on how it grips the car though. It seems like it would hard to prevent rubbing from the straps as the pillow would likely shift from the weight of the bike and any wind it might catch.

Good idea. I am in the camp that dosent like saddle bags for a tube or anything else. This takes it to the extreme.

I would need one more feature added: "Right turn, Clyde."

No friction points? It's all a friction point.

That's a pretty cool idea.

Only one bike - but at least they used decent bikes. Unfortunately, I'm not sure you would want to hang a painted bike on that- I could be wrong.

It was painted when they started.

I don't get it.

You take that with you on every ride on the off chance that you might have to hitch a ride from a vehicle that can't carry your bike? That's nuts!

Given the number of pick-up trucks and massive SUV's out there, it would take less time to find one of those than it would to find a sedan or coupe then go through the hassle of mounting this on the car.
