I have an 11 speed campy record and I am thinking of using a set of wheels with shimano/sram freehub body. Would this work if I used an 11 speed shimano cassette?

Works nicely. I swap them around all the time. No issues

100% compatible. Whether or not the wheels are able to take a Shimano 11 cassette is a different story.

Clarification... if the cassette body is a Shimano 11-speed it'll work.

Cool! Good to hear. Btw, Campy 11 speed chain will work on 11 speed shimano cassette?

Thanks

100% compatible. Whether or not the wheels are able to take a Shimano 11 cassette is a different story.

The set of new wheels that I have is for shimano/sram system. So instead of me buying a different freehub body, I'll just get a shimano cassette.

I'm riding Campy SR11, Shimano 11s (9000) chain. I've also run Shimano 11s cassette on Shimano wheels with Campy drivetrain. All works with no issues whatsoever.

Good to know about the chain compatibility as well. I had done a lot of googling and couldn't find any info, so I ended up buying a KMC X11SL.

I believe this will end in 2015.

I have had this worry as well...However, while they changed the gear pulls/ dérailleur throws, I do not think they changed the cassette spacing (please correct me if I am wrong). As a result although you now have to use new rear, front and shifters for 2015 campagnolo chorus and above (i.e. not backwards compatible) I don't believe the cassette is any different. If this is true than the cross compatibility should still be present. Anyone tried it?

2015 Chorus/Record/SR shifters, need 2015 Ch/Re/SR rear der. You can use a previous front der although the 2015 ones work better. Any crank, cog set, brakes.

Ive used a 9000 cassette and a 6800 cassette in a 2015 SR11 setup with no issues also.
Like others have mentioned, all the cable pull/geometry changes for the new shifters and mechs did not effect the cog spacing
