I see K-Edge has discontinued the Garmin Pro mount in favor of the Garmin XL for the Garmin 1000

Will this XL put my 810 appreciably further out ?? (The Aero is just too tight...)

The XL is pretty long. It puts the 1000 pretty close to the stem, and the Aero mount is only meant for the 510 and below.

I accidentally bought the XL, and it puts my 500 way out there.

I use the SRAM mount with my 810 and it fits nicely right in front of the stem.

what bout this?

I have it with my 800 and its perfect. Lighter than the K-Edge (might not matter to you) and mounts from under unlike the sram and the bar fly.

i have a k-edge, its a year or so old so not the XL, I guess its the pro.
I actually wish it was longer. On my road bike its fine but two of my bikes have dynamo wheels so I can charge the garmin on the go but the k-edge doesn't put the garmin out far enough to fit the usb cable in w/o interfering with the stem - unless I use a usb cable with a 90 degree connector.

I want to buy the Enve stem mount but I already had the tabs break off one 500 which I think was a direct result of using the first all aluminum k-edge. It doesn't look like the Enve has the plastic insert like the newer k-egde mounts.

UPDATE:

I just spoke with Allison at Enve and the mounting "bed" is indeed plastic so it should not harm the tabs.
