Hi folks:

I imagine that this could be found online, but I have yet to be able to find it :(.

I have an orphaned Campy freehub body from a DT 340 centre lock rear hub. I sold the wheelset to a Shimano user, so I kept the FHB, knowing that I would likely be using Campy in the future.

Can you tell me if the 340 FHB would work on a DT 350 hub? I seem to recall that it might be a bit different, but cannot recall. What I do see on the web is that one is steel and one is alloy - if the difference is only in weight, that doesn't bother me.

As you might guess, I am considering buying a DT350 hubset and want to know if this FHB will work or if I am faced with an extra $100 bill for getting the correct FHB for the new hubs.

Thanks for your reply,

Darren

Hey!

As far as i remember the free hub was the same. Its the same on 350 too. It has the ratchet system so it would seem weird if it did not fit. But I've been wrong before..

Perhaps google 240 vs 340, may give you a better idea of whats what.

Guess I'm wrong, again.. It would seem its NOT the same fhb
Seems like 340 share the same fhb as 540 (which i didn't even knew existed)

I believe the 340 hubs had a 12mm steel axle and the 350 hubs have a 15mm aluminum axle (shared with 240 and 180 hubs). I don't believe the FHBs are interchangeable.

Just the news that I didn't want to hear ;)

Oh well, you may see a DT340 FHB up for sale on the Classifieds soon?
