I used kool stop salmon on my open 4CDs, was wonderful. Those rims are now on my wifes bike also with salmon kool stops.

You could just get another set of the Shimano ceramic formula.

Yes they are, but the regular CD's aren't ceramic brake surface.

I thought all the open 4CDs were ceramic, I guess I was wrong and not sure if the ones I have are ceramic or not, I think they are just hard ano.

Swissstop Green - accept no substitutes! I used them on Mavic reflex ceramics for a good eight years and never had a problem. Long wearing too.

Actually two different technologies. CD is the dark brown hard anodized treatment on the rim,
Ceramic is an applied coating to the sidewall brake track area. It's black
and has a fine texture to it, works in conjunction with special brake pads that are almost
as hard as stone. Regular rubber pads gum up the surface treatment, and also wear
really fast. Ceramic pads, like the ones shimano has sold since the mid 90s last a very
long time because they are so hard.

Are those still available?

Website does not mention ceramic for any pads

Swiss Stop green isn't ceramic specific, it's their high performance pad for alloy rims.
Kool Stop green is their ceramic formula, perhaps that's the confusion.
