Anyone have an idea on value? Just frame/fork.

Really? $100?

I'm going over to the guy's house and pull it off the hooks and take pictures. He is a neighbor of mine that cleans out houses for estates. I'm just trying to help him out, no personal interest at all.

I used to have one in the 90s. Early ones came with steel forks and were spaced for 126mm. I would much prefer EMS carbon forks and 130mm spacing.

I sold mine for around $600 for the full bike 10 or so years ago. I imagine frame/fork in excellent condition would sell for half that today, to the right buyer. They were a timeless design, one could mistake it for a modern bike even today.

Check eBay completed auctions. It looks like one sold for $140 plus $40 ship.

Thanks, I did check, but my eBay-Fu must be weak. I did not see it. Just checked again.

Do you have a link for it? PM is fine.

I see one that sold for $179 + $38.50 shipping:

Looks like a repaint, I did not think they came in red. Or maybe towards the very end of the model.

Doing alright, not feelin' too bad. Maybe a ride with Twart tomorrow if it doesn't rain. Glad to see you finally went faster than me on a Strava segment ;)

They did come in red. I think this is an 87, maybe later ones were available in red, I dunno. I just rode over to his place. He wasn't home :(

In any case, spreading to 130 would be a no-no, I presume?

I had a circa 1988 one, it actually rusted out...yes the internal cable guides.

I thought the fork as aluminum.

Threw it in the trash last year cleaning the shed out.

$100 is fair. Make sure it's not cracked, though.

obviously you can't cold set it like steel but we're talking 2mm at each dropout.a little bit of hassle to change wheels when you flex the stays but seen it done on lots of older carbon bikes,i did it on an 89 epic allez never had an issue

Sorry, I meant to write $179 plus shipping. The gentleman above posted the look to it. Good luck with the potential sale.

If it goes for 150 or less shipped and it's a 59-61 and it includes headset and fork, I'll take it sight unseen.
