McCormack on the Killian's Team was great fun to watch and a rival for Davis Phinney. Saw him in the Coors a few times. Those were the days...

You mean I have to actually open the thread and read it:)
Thanks, sorry for the double post

I would pay $ to hear Alan say something like, "Can you loan me 20 quid until next Thursday so I can patch me roof".

Forgot what a character that guy was

Beaten to the punch...but a great video.

Haha, his comments on SRAM...

"It's horrible, it doesn't even work"

Good stuff. I have Sram on a bike but love his honesty.

Thanks so much for posting. That's great video and brings back some good memories.
When Alan was riding for Coors Lite, he and Mike Carter stayed at my friends house for the La Jolla Grand Prix. They were both really fun guys...and both really tiny. I loved to hear Alan's stories. Just like in the video, they were peppered with the f-word. That was a fun weekend.

Very cool- thanks for sharing!

He looks really fit - cool that he can still fit in his Wheaties windskin!

I pulled one of my late 80's race club windskins out of a box last month and couldnt even pull the shorts section up over my arse- so sad :o :p

Were the first to help me after I got nailed by a P/U truck in Eldorado Canyon in 2002...he found me, made sure I was alive, called cops and ambulance, made sure the lady didn't leave. Worked on his bike many times, freebie of course. Great guy all around tho.
