I'm thinking about buying a new road bike, a cannondale synapse disc 105.

I can't really find any solid reviews on. So I was wondering if anyone in the group has purchased one recently. I just got into doing long road rides and also into the fitness side of cycling.

I currently ride a serotta Atlantaon he road, and a surly crosscheck for everything in between. I'm very happy with them both, but I think I'm ready to step up my road game. And to be honest I am a little nervous about spending $1600 on an aluminum bike when I've always rode steel. And also the disc brakes?

Thanks group

I'm used to old steel road and mountain bikes, however switched out my club ride/century bike to a Synapse aluminum with 105...Mine is a 2013 but the 2015s are supposed to be a real upgrade with a new welding process. It really surprised me how the compliant is -- the SAVE rear triangle is a dream when you've got your tire pressure dialed in. The wheelset isn't knock-your-socks off, but a pretty decent so you won't have to worry about upgrading right away if your budget is tight. You'll be happy -- Cannondale sells the crap of 'em for a reason.
