After nearly two years of preparation, the Marin Museum of Bicycling (http://mmbhof.org/), which includes the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame, will have a Grand Opening (http://www.bicycling.com/culture/history/marin-museum-bicycling-brings-cycling-history-masses) party on Saturday, June 6. Expect the cycling glitterati of Northern California to be assembled for your photographing pleasure.
In preparation for an invasion of mountain bikers, the museum purchased a huge pile of my book, Fat Tire Flyer (http://dirtragmag.com/book-review-fat-tire-flyer-by-charlie-kelly/), and I sat and signed for what seemed like a couple of hours. (When I was in the Army, if you said something like that, Staff Sergeant James T. Curry would always ask, "Are you bragging or complaining?")
Joe Breeze sent me up to Nevada City yesterday to pick up yet another old bike for the museum, which he wanted in time for the opening party. Don't know why he wanted it. Damn thing doesn't even have pedals.
