I'm done messing around with my old 7 speed and have an Athena Group to use. What barrel adjuster do you guys like for using on my old steel bike?

Any will do but silver Campagnolo are probably the best. Not made for a 'while' but still 'out there'. BUT inna pinch, shimano ones will work also.

Heck, I have silver Suntour adjusters.

Yes, Campy and Suntour -- not many are putting together that combo!

Dave, who has enjoyed counting both how many different companies have made parts on some of his bikes and also how many different countries the parts were made in and the highest he's done for the latter number was about 9 or 10

Use whatever you want. And to be honest you can set the thing w/o barrel adjusters.

Yes I was thinking I really don’t need that. I am not that smart, how do I do that?

Thank you. I did see that they are a little scarce but as you say “out there”.

I think the campagnolo ones are easier to turn while riding than the shimano ones.
