This weekend I was riding in almost 90 degree weather and today my Christmas cactus is blooming and there is snow on the ground! Did I sleep through summer?

We need all of the moisture we can get. I'm up to 1.5" for the year so far at my house.

Yea, big weather shifts but that's spring. It'll be nice again in a day or two.

Watering in Jan and Feb was weird so I'm happy for the moisture too but.....the Christmas Cactus blooming? :confused:

Wasn't it last year at this time we had about a 2 foot dump down here? I remember because we moved into our house on a Saturday and woke up to tha on SUnday morning. Maybe it was a couple of weeks earlier. Anyway, we have had a pretty mild April.

It's been so warm I've been riding outside way more than last year and now if it's in the fifties I might skip a day because I am tuckered out. A normal year and I'd be tickled beyond words for a day in the fifties.

It's the damn wind. I skipped tonight because there's a 25 mile an hour wind gusting to 30. I should be better than that but it seems like it's been blowing like a son of a ***** all spring and I really want a calm day. It's going to be 30 degrees tomorrow morning but it'll be calm. It'll be 60 degrees and sunny in the afternoon but it'll be blowing again. I may just go out at 5am because there'll be no wind.

I had a run in with two rattlers at the base of Flagstaff Mt in Boulder while hiking with the dogs Saturday. That's the first time I've seen them this early in the year so hopefully the cool weather will send them back underground for a while longer.

Oh, I hate snakes. Last spring I saw a few "little ones" on the BearCreek Trail and in BearCreek park. I didn't stay around to figure out what they were!
