Here's a different approach to the hour record...how about doing it on a Raleigh Chopper?

What?? 31.9km? That's a HELL of an effort for that bike.... how's that even possible?

Matt's a beast. Last year he tackled Ventoux on his Raleigh Chopper. All for the same cause - to raise money for the fight against leukemia.

Wow, great story!
I'll suggest he may wish to use my dream bike as a kid, though, the "ram's horn" Stingray fast back

It would help his grip (see where his hands are in the riding pic?) or maybe I just like ram's horn bikes..

He should have attempted the record in the suit he arrived in!

These things were HEAVY, built to withstand the abuse a kid would throw at them. Mine was an orange 'split-shift' 5 speed internal geared model.
I think 1/8 mile sprints would have been more appropriate and less painful as this was a dragster look after all.
Gotta say I was never happier than when mine went away and a new proper 'racing' bike took it's place. The town line got a lot closer
The rest is history...
