Rather than going on a typical ride for a Sunday afternoon, yesterday my daughter (12) and I hit the local bike trail. While not near as fast or as far as I would normally go, the time together was great. We rode just over 26 miles (12.5 mph pace) and stopped for a nice ice cream break. Definitely a different type of ride for me but a fantastic way to spend an afternoon. And she did it on the bike shown below. A few more of these rides and it will be time to get her a faster ride.
