I might be shipping a frame to china later this week. box size is going to be 41"x 21"x 9" or 101" lenght +girth USPS. USPS website says they can ship for $140+/-. anybody done this? is it trackable? any other options? horror stories?

This is not in the least bit helpful, but I didn't know you could ship anything to China… I thought it was a one-way pipeline.

Try DHL.

I don't think USPS is trackable once it leaves the United States. One reason I am always weary of shipping internationally. As suggested above maybe try DHL.

thanks, didn't think of DHL. yea, all major carriers go to china with USPS being the cheapest. I had left the auction open to international shipping but the winner is in the states.

USPS connects to EMS. Ask them about options for full system tracking.

Had a 9000 group shipped here through EMS, no problem. Once it clears customs, it is probably a day or two in country.

I've used DHL and Fed Ex..........DHL was cheaper and fed Ex was easier.

One thing we know, given our current trade imbalance with China the US west-coast to China leg of the trip has to be super-cheap. All those containers have to somehow cycle back to China - might as well fill 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000001% of them with used bike frames.
