Serotta Head Badges

Does anyone know when Serotta began using head badges as an option along with the option of head decals? Thanks.

I'm pretty sure it was after 2000/2001 because the lack of a metal headtube badge was one of my hang ups when I was looking back then. (Still went with the Serotta anyway.)

I ordered a custom Serotta in 2003 and was given a choice of the "new" badge or
decal. I went with the decal because the badge had sharp edges and felt cheap and unfinished. The double stick tape they were using prevented the badge from laying flat on the tube. I remember being kind of surprised at the lame implementation, the dealer agreed (he said)

My legend is a 2003, has the older style badge. FYI
I have the newer version, but it's smaller so I never changed it out.
