Rossin SLX Value?

9 speed is just not that desirable even though it's perfectly functional.

Yep, I've seen pristine 9 spd Record gruppos go for less than $400. In generally good condition, I've seen them average about $325. Now, Chorus 10 alloy, we are talking highly desirable. I'm always on the lookout to collect C10A gruppos.

The dude selling that rossin is dreaming.

The problem to me is that I cant tell if its a Ghibli at all... doesnt look like one, but the paint is really close, the other thing is that rossin had like 4 models that shared almost the same finish but the tubes at geometry were totally different to the Ghibli...This one looks like one of the low end ones to me, unless the dude can show that the tubes are crimpled (sp) he cant say it is a Ghibli, then the price is off right away.

A brand new rossin frame around that era and high end sold for less than 700 like a 3 weeks ago.

BLB in London has a great deal of NOS Rossins of that vintage. I would expect their prices are negotiable. It might be worthwhile emailing them about what they may have in the warehouse as not everything is available is listed on line.

I like slx bikes of the small diameter old school tubes they are my favorite. I think you can find many slx bikes for much less. I would pass at that price unless you just had to have a rossin.

I've had a Rossin SL and an EL/OS. I could kill myself for selling the latter. That SLX would almost be worth $1200 to me if the paint were in better condition. But $8-900 sounds right. My SL was sold by 10 Speed Drive imports as well.
