Speaking of Paris-Roubaix

What ever happened to Gilbert Duclos-Lassalle? I remember he was posing for a portrait for a fan at the Tour DuPont, after the prologue. The fan's wife was in the shot, and GDL had his arm around her. She was rather hot. After the guy took the picture, he starts strolling, still with the guy's wife around his arm, into the Dupont hotel lobby, into the elevator, all the while this guy was stuttering in English, then in really bad French, for him to give his wife back. GDL had this huge Gallic smile on his face the whole time, and I think the guy's wife didn't mind it one bit. The elevator doors shut, and that was it.


Moral of the story? Don't let your wife get too close to these people...
