Anybody have a great men's hair dye they use? I started going gray in my 20's and didn't care that much, but now that my beard has gone gray, I look about 20 years older than I am.

You have three older bikes. Sell them and get a C-60 and maybe a Crumpton, and all your hair color will come right back.

Seriously, speaking with all the authority of someone without any hair on top at all, go to a good stylist for at least the first time. Despite what Clairol says, it looks worlds better when a pro does it and a pro will know how to achieve the look you want. They can recommend the right components and methods to use. There's more to it than a colored shampoo.

Shave it or live with it.

Only Ron Popeil can get away with spray on hair.

Are you married or have a GF? Does she care?

If not, don't bother doing anything about it.

My uncle uses a Sharpie marker. Works perfect and is cheap.

Amen to that. I am in your position, though I am in mid 40s. My blessing is that I have a serious mop of hair, but it is showing a bit more grey and the beard that I just shaved off was seriously grey. C'est la vie.

I would avoid dying your hair if at all possible - but that's just me. A clean shaven face will gain you 5 years, or so I have been told by my wife .... :)

Being and looking like who you really are is a heck of a lot easier than trying to be someone else.

Accepting yourself for who you are and hoping that folks who are close to you do the same is the way to go. (IMO)

my beard makes me look really old. I had gotten tired of the way it made me feel when I rode anyway, so I'm clean-shaven.

The interesting thing is that the reason I look so old is because I have white spots in my beard from vitiligo, so it has been in my beard since I could grow one. My beard and knees are the only places where that happened, it always made me glad that it didn't affect my skin color on my face.

If you still have hair cut it to 4 on top and 2 on sides, beard equal or less.

You can't do it yourself so I would seek out a pro the first time. Shorter hair requires much more care to make it look right. Try it - you have nothing to lose. But don't try it yourself. Like any skill worth paying for it is the result of years of practice.
I look older now because I am older. My 3 day old salt and pepper stubble still gets smiles from the ladies.
I worked in the cosmetic and beauty industry as a designer for almost 30 years. While the profits are fabulous I am always more impressed by the man or woman who embraces their age with confidence and dignity.

If you've got the coverage on top and the cheekbones to pull it off I say go for it.
But we gotta see the after pics.

Never chase what you are not although it can work if you are sure you are chasing what you want to be.

Attitude. Not as in bad but as in quiet confidence.

Skip the hair dye. Ephemeral doesn't work.

This guy's hair is pretty short, but given how much of purist he is when it comes to treating his body like a temple, I doubt he modifies it in any way:

Go to a pro.
But once you start coloring you have to continue on a regular basis or the grey returns as before. Just ask any woman who colors their hair.

I'd go to your significant other's hair stylist. Good color jobs looks natural. Home color jobs do not...my neighbor colors his and it looks like colored hair.

Easy for me to say, I am in my 50's with a full head of dark hair... My younger sibling is mostly gray and older sibling is salt and pepper. :)

My hair up and died on its own, so I don't need dye.

I started to go grey in my early 30's. By 34 I had quite a bit. I colored it for a few years including facial hair. I always had it professionally done as I had really long hair. By age 38 I had enough and stopped. I can tell you who is using Just for Men and the exact color for their facial hair when I see it.

Hair in a bottle is the last thing you should be spending any time or money on.
It really doesn't matter.

I say do it. Own the black hair. Go extra black. What's the worst that can happen?

If so, trade them in on a better model.

I have been thinking of dying my beard but with this stuff for the heck of it,yeah really. I don't have a full beard just a stache and goatee.
I'm thinking iguana green.

Special effects hair dye.

I'm basically lazy and never have liked the way the dyes you purchase from the supermarket look, so I guess I'll leave it gray and make sure I stay clean shaven lest I look like this...

Sensible choice.

I started going gray in my mid-thirties and began dyeing my hair when I was about 40. I never liked the phony look and was home with the flu for a couple of days and watched some TV. Phil Donahue was on, and he looked great with white hair, so I quit coloring it and haven't regretted it for a second. Fortunately, at 72 I still have a big mop. If anything, the hair has been a boost to my social life.
