I'm thinking that's one of the ti forks Kona sold in the early '90s. They were quite expensive at the time. It would potentially be a nice fork for a fully-rigid trail bike, but the price would make it unpalatable to me.

It is certainly NOT a Serotta titanium fork nor is it the Kona Titanium Project 2 fork. I asked about this fork before on this forum as well as on the MTBR forum, and came to the conclusion that it is not a Serotta for sure. I also have a couple of the Kona Titaniums and this is also not it. The make was and is still not known.

I do not know why the seller listed the auction as such because he clearly knows that it is not.

Hi Dave,

I do not think it is a Morati. All the Moratis I have seen are segmented forks and not unicrown. The only 2 unicrown ti forks I know are the Kona titanium (which it is not), and this unknown maker. Recently, I came across Black Sheep which is also doing unicrown titanium forks, but that is way modern so it is not it as well.

I do not know the maker, and when I sold the fork to the guy, I told him so, as well as sent him links to a thread I started here on the Serotta forum as well as the MTBR forum to ask if anyone knew. As far as I know, he does not know the actual maker as well.
