I seldom ride at night nor do I need a jacket most time since I prefer to layer up with sleeves and vest but that gilet is tempting.

Wow!
I like that it comes in a vest and gillet too.

I had this written before this weekend (past) but I just found that they have a reversible that is the proviz bright reflective on one side and bright yellow on the other...

My only gripe was daytime visibility... That's handled...

Wow! That's .... reflective!

Those look like great products, but I'd like to see a vest for warm weather riding. The vest on the website (http://www.provizsports.com/en_us/catalog/product/view/id/976/s/reflect360-cycling-vest/category/137/) is mostly solid. Perhaps a design with strips of their material on an otherwise mesh vest would be nice.

My thoughts, too. I need something lightweight to wear on summer night rides.

Nike has a hooded jacket of similar material for $400. It's amazing how this company can deliver a similar product, perhaps better, for much less.

That vest is in the works. (venting)

So is a Jacket with more of a performance cut and some venting...

Do you have a link for the reversible one? I must be overlooking it on the website.

Did you guys find this was more reflective than the Capo Hi Vis or the Sugoi Zap?

Maybe too reflective. I just want to be seen. Blinding the driver may not accomplish that.

Could be too much of a good thing.

When the reflective surface is too large, and the reflected light too bright, it could make it difficult for the driver to precisely locate the cyclist. You became a brilliantly bright blob, as opposed to something quickly recognized as a human being on a bike, with a precise location and predictable motion.

I bought a Proviz jacket, they are indeed very, very reflective.

They are also way, waaaaaaaaaay too warm to wear whilst doing exercise - I wore mine when it was just above freezing and sweat was literally running down my arms - my gloves were soaked in short order.

The Nike one may be a lot more $$, but if it's breathable (at all!) then it's worth getting over the Proviz.

One final observation, I have the Nike Flash Gillet and the material is significantly better- more reflective, more homogenous, smoother etc.

That's some serious reflectiveness there.

If you shine a light on yourself while riding will it light up the road?

I have the ProViz vest hate to say "gillet" for so many reasons
while it is not breathable, I only wear it at night, when is colder, and can easily zip down a bit
It is far and away the most reflectve material on the market
Jacket too warm
Vest fantastic IMO

It's not on the websight yet, but it will be available.

It's called the "Switch"

This is substantially brighter than the Zap or Capo High Viz.

That said, The Zap is also really good. (And could use some ventilation too).

For better venting, Proviz sell a running version where the entire back and under arms are vented...

It too is $250 less than the Nike...

Yeah, I got the running one rather than the cycling one for those reasons - it's still a furnace.

Be good for walking the dog in, I think.

Once they come out with a super lightweight, warm-weather vest they'll have my money. I love the idea of getting something like this for night riding.

Anyone have any idea how the material holds up to repeated use?

A "walking-the-dog vest" for $139 -- a bargain!

"Wow -- the jacket is super reflective;" "wow -- that model is hot!" or "wow, that hot model is wearing a super reflective jacket"?

6 Months, couple cleanings, it looks like new...

The seam tape is what worried me the most and it's held well. Really, aside from the reflective feature, things built like this are 200+ from any reasonable brand.

"Close encounters of the 3rd kind" type of reflection hehehe :D

Wonder how many riders will be confused by UFOs :D

Nobody can say they did not see you at night tho.
