I have two pairs of Dura Ace 7810 pedals each with well over 10,000 miles. Although they don't feel like there is sand or grit in the bearings or on the axle, they aren't as smooth as they were out of the box. Can they be overhauled? Any tips?

I just had Performance overhaul one pair of 7810 pedals and it cost $20. This pair had 27K miles on them. No grit sound but they would just free spin when you flipped them. That is a sign that they need to be cleaned and re-greased. I'd say doing it every 10 or 15K miles would make sense. With routine maintenance these pedals should last near a lifetime.
